Cindy

As some of you know my wife is totally disabled. She has movement in her right hand. That is all. She has normal mental function and is a very social woman who has to live in high dependency care, a room some 10 by 12. A TV is her outlet.

I care for as best I can, I love her.

Everyone knows my wife has a Transpartner and they have been lovely.

I had a call from a woman who visits her occasionally. She is just a normal everyday Saint. She called me saying that  she wanted to give my wife an extra large TV and for me to collect it from the store. Tonight I did.

She wants to remain anonymous  and I will keep her wish. She has never missed my name nor got a pronoun wrong. She is in her seventies.

Her response to me being trans* has been, be yourself, you are you, be proud.

So I shall keep your promise. I will not tell anyone of your generosity, but I shall tell my family that wonderful caring people exist.

I will let my family know that there are people who don't give a damn if you are trans, straight, red white or blue, but just accept people for who they are.

I shall do so in case some of my family have had a crap day and feel rejected.

There are wonderful people in this world.

You are one of them.

Thank you.

That made me feel all warm and cozy inside.  As much of a misanthrope as I am, I do love hearing stories like this.

April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

They say the light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming train. I say, climb aboard!

The community are a group i am proud to been part of.

I also have come across a large number outside the community who care deeply.

Now we just need to get the balance to accept us as humans.

Hang in, keep fighting and do not roll over for anyone.
