"Try try try"

Sorry, not to hip with words tonight...but this video has a message for us, just don't know how to phrase it.

*hugs*
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

I stumbled upon "Try Try Try" several months ago as I was looking into something completely unrelated to my own gender issues (I didn't even know I had any "gender issues" then). But I do know it woke something inside me, that stuck with me, that I believe led me to here and now.

Just this past week, a new friend turned me onto Bruce Cockburn's "Pacing the Cage" (thank-you Jamie!). While he undoubtedly wrote it from some other personal experience, the lyrics struck straight into my gender-questioning dysphoric soul. I think it speaks about what so many of us have gone / are going through. Or maybe it just speaks to me at my age, after so many decades of denial, and to my current state of mind.

There are several YouTube versions, this one includes the lyrics.

Emmaleigh C.  ~ "On a clear day, rise and look around you, and you see who you are" (B. Streisand) ~ "Ah, but I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now" (B. Dylan)
