I have no other Aussie transman friends (Or however you like to identify yourself as). I feel isolated and secluded, so I'm just wandering how many Aussie guys are here, and are any of you interested in perhaps becoming friends elsewhere online, like Facebook etc? It would help to have guys that can relate to how things work here and so on. Thanks.

Hey! I was wondering where we are, I think I've seen a few in the Top Surgery forum. Whereabouts around Brisbane harlee? I live on the Gold Coast.

Cool. One question, I'm having troubles. Where on Earth do we get a binder from that doesn't have the whole shipping garbage. Shipping costs more than the binder in my case, which is just crap. I'm on DSP, and struggle to afford food yet alone much else. My current binder has started to lose it's compression, and is falling apart :/ I have enough trouble finding one small enough for my chest, but I can't find anywhere that doesn't have that shipping garbage. I have to use tape or some other equally harmful thing at the moment, and my GP asked me to stop because we're looking for a surgeon for my top surgery here. Thanks.

Hey. Anyways, update. I got a *reasonably* OK shipping priced binder on Amazon, so the only negative is the 3-4 week wait until it arrives. And I'm hoping it's small enough for me :/ And that I haven't seen that surgeon my GP found beforehand. My next GP appointment isn't until the 23rd, and I doubt anything much will have occurred, so it shouldn't be any issue.

I always ordered my binders from Underworks.  The binder itself was around $30 USD and the shipping was $19 USD.  Not unreasonable at all.

For me it is. But I'm on DSP and only get a third of it given to me by my Public Trust person, so that makes a difference. My first ones got bought for me, I didn't need to bind until a couple years ago.

I'm Sydney-ish :) If you message me your facebook link we can be friends. I'm also pretty isolated from the trans community.

There's a Facebook group called "FTM Trans Guys Australia". Closed private group, just request to join and someone will let you in.

Hello Aussies! I'm not Aussie, I'm a Canuck []*[], but I'm on the same "pond" as east coast Aussies! *waves across the water* (I'm a member of an Aussie based Star Trek fan club, so sort of "honorary"... hmmm, we've got a conference coming up this summer, I'd love to meet a few guys/gals while I'm over if I can!!!)
