Hi everyone! I did my first T shot , and I gave it to my thigh (to my rectus femoris: http://wps.prenhall.com/wps/media/objects/394/403558/figure16b.gif) can T absorb from there?... I'm a little worried....

That is likely fine - the point is to get into muscle without hitting anything important . I don't ever do it there, but you can do it around that area if you want I think. I pinch up the side of my leg to stick the needle in, let go, and push the needle into the side muscle there.

for some reason, I was told to do it on the top of the thigh or close to the top. Apparently there is a big vein or artery or something if you do it on the side.

Just to be clear what I meant by side, I meant the Vastus lateralis muscle. 

I don't stray more than a few cm from where I was shown to inject (thank you reference freckles), so I guess the point is to just inject where your doctor tells you.
