After fighting a losing battle with house work I went to a store and was shown a steam cleaner that was also a vacuum cleaner. I can steam clean my floors and vacuum at the same time. Totally brilliant!!

Bah, I wish. That pic was a "hair and makeup day" one...that's not my real hair. I work with a bunch of transphobic, homophobic, "manly man" types. If I were to come out at work I'd probably get fired if not assaulted.

Stryker ...... that's awesome that she says those things even without knowing ... it's sometimes those little things that just help us to smile a little brighter somedays. And in all reality, maybe she does know something others don't see, but whatever, it sounds really cool!!

As far as the coming out at work thing, I know it can be scary ..... I am trying to build my own courage to do so, and I work in the construction industry in upper Midwest. I do happen to be an office computer person, but still none-the-less, very male dominate with strong personality types. I wish you the best in future work endeavors and if it gets to the point of coming out.

I'm a security guard in the south...probably not as bad as your situation, but enough to sympathise, I think.  😛

Found out my first meeting with GIC specialist in max 8 weeks. Sounds like ages but the one in London reckoned 56 weeks so i shopped around/nagged relentlessly. result. so relieved. 2 or maybe 3 meetings and they should prescribe hormones.
Backup job offer in morning email in case the first one doesnt happen. would fill FFS penny jar by June. sweeet.

Appointment with my physician in about a week. I'm excited to change to pellets/an implant. I've used patches for almost a year & really no idea why I did not have an implant long ago. I'm happy that will soon be resolved. I feel good & my body has improved so much however I need my estrogen to feel my best.

Congrats on the upcoming switch. As much as I was happy to start out on patches I was glad that first day that I switched to injections in my case instead.

Last night my mother called me "Ally" for the first time. She also referred to me as her daughter! Considering how down I had been preceding the call, it was quite a pick-me-up!

I may also be getting my estradiol implant today.... I say "may" because I'm fairly sure that's what my endo said last time, but that was two months ago, and it seems almost too good to be true!

Edit - and it was.... Booked in for end of March. It's something, I guess....

Started HRT today!!!!! Estrogen patches and t-blocker. Wholly cow it's hard to believe it's all real and the one of the major stepping stones has been started. I feel so fortunate and blessed to have gotten to this point, that I don't want the euphoria of today to end.   

Starting my HRT with an increased dosage today. 😀

I've got my first appointment with a therapist next Friday, I'm so excited, a little nervous I have no idea what to expect but finally I'm moving forward!!

I just got a back body buddy massage cane in the mail today. It's amazing and it's darn close to being the best thing next to sliced bread.

I'm not sure why I put up with the patches for 6 weeks either when I could have at anytime asked to be switched to injections. I think we get so wrapped up that were on HRT in any form that we forget that if were not happy with one form for one reason or another that we generally can be switched to another one easily provided we speak up, but to be honest who knows why we waited did but we did. I'm traveling tomorrow to get a hair transplant on Thursday. 
I'm scared and excited at the same time.  Time to make war on the damnedable widow's peak and non-female pattern ... er, hair loss.

not sure if i am happy or not but I got called by the psychiatrists office earlier to set up my first appointment which is fantastic,  i feel I am getting someplace !

The only problem the session is booked for AUGUST 25th which is like 6 months away! Is the only date they can manage at the moment on account for the demand to see this doctor.


Anyway getting closer

I am thankful for having a great support network who are forgiving of my moody + sometimes overly colourful ways. I'd be lost (or institutionalised) w/out them! 🙂
