The transitioning process is all about yourself and not what others think including your therapists. Don't ever feel like you have to pressured by them because if you are then maybe you should be finding another therapist. They are there to help you and help you guide yourself and force you to do things that you either are not ready to do or don't need to do. Your past and what it represents are a big part of your life and their is no reason you should have to give that up if you don't want too. The key is to just be you with whatever mix of male and female persona that may bring to the table. Obviously we don't know the whole conversation that went on or all the rules in regards to transitioning in the country your in, but my advice stands regardless of that because you should never have to do what you don't want or are not ready to do.
