ever since i can remember, i've really wanted to have an adam's apple. it's a feature that i'm quite dysphoric about, to tell the truth. however, i'm not out yet, so i cannot begin physical transition. but whenever i do, the two procedures i'm positive i am going to get are the top surgery and the adam's apple surgery (if money allows, of course). so i was just curious, if any of you guys ever got the thyroid cartilage enhancement procedure, are you happy with the results? and if you haven't gotten it, are you planning to?

that may not be necessary. once you're on t, it's possible that you'll 'grow' an adam's apple.

Yea, like the other poster said, it's possible you won't even need it. I'm a little over 6 months on T and mine is becoming quite prominent. Granted, it's all about genetics, but no one in my family has a prominent one that I know of so it's kind of a wild card. I'd try not to worry about it until you've been on T for quite a while. Most Cis guys don't have a prominent one anyways.

If you don't develop an adam's apple, don't stress about it.  Everyone has one already, but they aren't always visible.

I got an Adam's apple. I have some extra weight on me, but I think if I was thinner you could see it easily.

I think people would notice the scar from the surgery way more than they would the lack of a noticeable Adam's apple.

You can have mine!  :-*

I sincerely wish that was possible. For me (MTF) it is my most dysphoric issue. I don't want to hide my neck forever. I wish E would shrink it, but it won't.

I've been afraid of changing, cuz I built my life around you.
but time makes you bolder, children get older , I'm getting older too.
