I have been on magic potions now for about 19 months, 10 days and 17 hours. (Roughly). Anyway not much has happened but something. My latest measurements are 39.5" : 37 ". When I put these data into bra calculators they never come up with the same answer twice and so often also say, "Sorry, we don't stock that size freak." Now I'm not inclined to get professionally measured. (Just sayin'). Questions then. When I do get answers I'm advised to get 40A and sometimes 42A. That just seems a hell of a band size for a 37". Why do they add on inches and just who sells a 42A? That's an elastic bandage!

(Wee sneaky 2nd question. After 19 months etc etc..... and extremely late 50s, do you think statistically that's probably my lot?  )

Hi, can't really answer your first question...they use a different measuring system where I'm from (Australia). From what I understand though that sounds about right. As for your other question, I'm late 40s and on HRT for almost 19 months too...I'm pretty much a B cup and hopeful of at least a bit more growth yet. Some folk say it continues, albeit much more slowly, for up to five years but I haven't  been able to confirm that.

I am not really sure about this but from what i understand is that you measure the ribcage (the circumference) just under your boob if that is say 34 inches you add 4 inches to that measurement.  That is then your band size(38).  You then measure around your bust(when you are wearing a non-padded  bra) and that measurement gives the cup size.  You now have 2 numbers.  Subtract the smaller number from the bigger one.  The difference is the cup size. If the difference is 0 then you are an AA, if it is 1 you are A, 2 is B etc...

I've never really worked it out either, and not for lack of trying. I suspect because I started late their shape may be a bit unusual. I went though a lot of bra's to find something comfortable.

From what I get those bra calculators are very iffy guesstimate especially when you get to our strange sizes. Yes getting measured is best bet of course I understand why some of us would be ya no next best is the self measurement and watch a few videos on how to do so its definitely harder then it seems.

Now the one thing they seem to ignore is bra strap length how in the heck do you taller girls find a bra. I have found some that fit great around my ok just moobs atm and ribcage but then the straps are so dang short (have long torso and 6 ft) I may just be cursed to finding and using only convertible bras or strapless not a lot of choices in said size. Probably a 46 A atm and not on hrt yet and of course would might grow not a clue mom a B sister a DD me maybe C or less find out in future:) As a side note I happen to go to a store and the bra I am wearing in my avatar is now don't laugh but fits 40 DD padded with 3 extenders and a strap that actually is long enough bit to stretchy though.
