Ryan murphy hired alex from the glee project season one to play a transgender woman in this season, i think the way that ryan murphy hands last season and this season with alex's character is amazing, i am also learning a bit about mtf's which i don't have a lot of knowledge on. but i think its amazing Fox has a transgender person on it. good job fox

I'm certainly following her storyline very closely!  I'm enjoying the way that the show is portraying her friendship with other girls.

I'm not really sure what the show could be possibly teaching you about mtfs, though, because they haven't really done too much with her storyline so far.

Sorry for bumping this, but I'm a huuugeee Gleek (Lea Michele's fault, damn that woman for being so flawless!) and last Friday's episode was called "Transitioning". Coach Beiste is back after coming out as a transgender man, his new name is Sheldon.

It was a sweet episode, Alex Newell's character, Unique, was back and sang with a group of 300 transgender people to Sheldon, so that he'd know he's not alone. Also, it felt very nice to see the main characters supporting the coach, so yeah... even if you've given up on Glee (cause, let's face it, the quality has gone down a lot in the past few years...), you might wanna check this episode out, it was pretty cool. :)
