Hello! I finally tried to get an appointment only to be greeted with a you have no money to call with message.
What can I do? I have no money at all and I'm too old for free care.
I'm also very socially inept so I don't want to go somewhere and ask.

Keep calling and ask for a sliding scale fee is about the best I can think of. Even those aren't necessarily going to be free. You should be able to get insurance, though that isn't true in all states either.

There are therapists who will work with you. Some are sliding scale. some are payments. I did some looking a few months ago and found a couple that would see a patient for $30 an hour. Most of my looking was online for privacy reasons. I'm in the same boat having grossed less than $6,500 last year.  everyone has the right ti receive both physical and mental health assistance. Keep looking.
