Hi Everyone,
I'm new to posting on the forums but I've been around for a while as a guest and under my former name. Over the last 6 months, these forums have been my main source of info and have helped me to get where I am today.

I am FTM who just began transitioning at 45yo. I've waited so long to be where I am today and never thought transition would happen for me. I feared coming out to my kids, my family, my friends and my co-workers. Things have snowballed since November and haven't stopped. I have an awesome partner who understands and supports my transition. We've been friends for 2 yrs and have been together since August. Without her, I wouldn't have gotten here. I had top surgery in December before coming out. Since then, I've come out to my kids and family. They've been very supportive and only want me to be happy. I've also come out to many of my co-workers and found support there as well. This week I have my consultation to start T and I'm as excited as a kid waiting for Christmas. Recently, my 10 yo daughter helped me to pick out my new name. Huge changes and I'm really glad to be here reading the information posted and the personal experiences of everyone. Thanks!
