Hmmmm....I don't know of any online but you can contact the following support groups in Arizona, and I'm sure that they will provide you with additional information.  Good luck! :)

If you do not mind online, by phone rather you may wish to know of Dr. Bushong; I am happy enough with the arrangement he uses.

I wish you luck and many discoveries funnygrl (=

Hey Cire, glad it will help.

Dalena Waston is an excellent gender therapist if your looking for one.

Take care.

I certainly am looking for one. Would you mind telling me how much she charges? I was going to try and go with O'Donahuge based on the fact that she got back to me with information and she's part of the local TG group, but I'd also like to know as much about Ms. Watson as you'd let me know. Not about what you talk with her about, but would you tell me why she's good, what she does, that kind of stuff? How is she with dispensing hormones? Hard to get or easy?

Thank you,

Cire

Hey Cire,

I'm just starting down this road (transition) and I have only gone to see Dalena twice so far, this morning as a matter of fact will be my third time. It's just that she has really helped me see some things quickly and I feel very comfortable with her.

We haven't gotten to HRT issues yet, and I've been afraid to ask 'cus I don't want to seem like I'm rushing things. I will ask her about that (HRT) today and get back to.

She had me go and take a psych test called the MCMI test, which determines other psych issues like severe depression and any psychotic thoughts (suicidal) ; etc. From what I understand from other TG / TS people here @ Susan's thats a standard test all TG therapists ask you to take.

I've done some other tests during the sessions, the names of which I can't remember now, that only served to make certain to me whats going on in my life right now, the fact that I'm TG.

She's really been encouraging. I had issues with my age and transitioning. You know, wishing I had done all of this years ago. Like a lot of the recent posts that have dealt with this issue of "late transitioning", Dalena has helped me put all of that 'age' crap into perspective for me.

I was really depressed, rather have been a lot, and all I can say if I wasn't in therapy and lucky enough to go to Dalena here in Phoenix I'd be a serious basket case right now.

I hope that this helps. Cost's are: 90 min. sessions=$75.00 thats what I pay, 50 min. seesions I believe are $55.00. I have posted her web site here in the counselor / therapist links area. Any other questions just send me a message or post here and I'd be happy to answer whatever I can and help you in any way. Good luck!!!
