Hi I was just wondering how many MTF if any have ever looked at pictures of the female body either nude or clothed and said to themselves "I would love to look that great" or is that too gross, cause I know that I like looking at women who have great bodies and compare their picture to what I want to be when I go through SRS/GRS, I also hear myself saying where can I get that dress from and I know that I would look good in that. Also for makeup tips. I never find myself saying that to a picture of a male dressed in levis but I do say sometimes that "he has a nice body or he is cute" but I never want to go out and buy the clothes that the guy is wearing?

I may be a bit weird but I was just wondering, cause I just was.

Hey Sara,

I have and yes thought if I had my choice I would like to have boobs like that or that I would prefer my bum to have this or that shape. I've also looked at clothed women and thought if I had that figure I could wear that dress that I really like. I also look at makeup styles and clothing styles and think about how they would look on me.

Sara, I've been wishing that ever since I realized women's bodies were different from mine!  Looking at women, after puberty, has always been a mixture of desire and envy, for me.  And the desire was about wanting to be how they looked too, not just s_×××.

I think that all of us in the trans community would agree to some extent that they/we have looked at pictures of and actual bodies and wished for something about them for our selves.  I know that I have.  Personally I would like to have rounder hips, not a whole lot but just a little.  If nothing else it would make cloths fit nicer   But to be fair this is not part of any trans psyche, as everyone else does it as well.

Yep I can remember doing that.  Except for the hips, I don't think that I do it any more now that I've started transition as I'm quite happy with what I have.

Helen, Shelley and Stephanie. I do get a bit worried sometimes that I like their beauty too much, mind you this is purely because I want to be as good as Ii possibly can in the way that I look as a woman.

ONE THING THAT DOES PUZZLE ME is photo's of proffessional TS, how the hell do they get to look so good when they have the whole paqckage. I find it amazing that they can have all that T and be so good looking.(jealous)

Oh well I must I must improve my bust and many other things too I might add.

I just look and say, not in my wildest dreams am I ever going to look that good or even come close. I do what I can and if it isn't good enough then that is too bad. Now if I were younger I might be doing something like FFS or boob implants, but mine are big enough to fill out a bra and my face looks like a 56 year old woman.

You know the ones where they stike the pose, pictures in Australian Post or Picture Magazine where they have done some stories on TG people and they use a shot of a TG porn queens (some do look so good it is frightning) but they still have their thingys. I dont know it may just be me but either they have had plastic surgery on their face and their bodies which would have cost thousands of dollars or you would sware that they are a GG.

I like the pictures cause they are great some of them but I think the press are giving the wrong message about the community. Not all girls look like that and it does promote us to men to be easy and to have perverts running around looking for a quick score but mind you I havent had SEX in like 6 years (except for the big O I used to give myself) but I cannot even do that anymore as I become severely depressed. Oh where was I, PICTURES of the FEMALE body. If I could look that good like a GG then I would be over the moon. I want the pictures to be reality but unfortunately reality sinks in. So I press on with excercise and diets and hormones and who knows maybe one day!

Wrong messages? ^*chortle* Something like that aye... although I refer to the crap that is shoveled down well, ANY consumers throats these days but more to the point what the young (and not so) GGs have to deal with. Yea, if the marketers could have SOME basis of reality that would be good.
^*snicker* Then again, if our government could have some basis in reality... oh never mind.

Anyway, don't discount what can be done until you are sure it can't be done (and then get a second opinion ^*wink*) A lot can be done these days... however it would be prudent to throw any preconceived notions right out the door.

Consider the young girls who have to be slim and trim and have a pretty face... because that is all they see in the media. Heaven forbid you have less than perfect complexion, etc. ad nausium. It's the same for the boys of course, if you're not muscular you're a nerd and other such garbage.

My point is what you see in the media should be taken with a grain of salt. ... None of it is reality, regardless how much they (or you) want you to believe it is.

Kimberly, I used to have such lovely ash blond hair and then along came stress and living in recluse and turned it into a kinda brownish blonde. Thank god for hair colors oh and I have to pluck my eyebrows. cause part of them are brown ans some of them are blond.

I hate commercialism! Cant wait 'til I get my legs done.

I dont know about boys on the other hand, I like a muscular body, Like the photo calendars of hot hunks. Dont think I would buy a calenar of hot nerds!

When I was transitioning, I presumed that part of my education as a woman was to read some "women's magazines."  It made me depressed, at first, because the women in the pictures were so beautiful compared to me.  I then realized that GG's fought the same depression when they measured their bodies to the pictures.  It made me more mellow and it made me cancel all women's magazines.

I'm a lot happier now.

Interesting, I used to be a very pale blond but have aged to a dirty dishwater blond   well, I can sort of kind of claim brunet I guess so it's not all bad

I hadn't thought about stress (had a lot of that to be sure) nor living in recluse (do that as often as I can as it is what I prefer)... still given that I like hiding from everyone I don't think that has any relevance for me, but ^*shrug* Who knows!

Exactly why the cycle continues

With today's digital photography and the power of computers, whatever pics you see in magazines are absolutely unrealistic.  For the TS porn stars to the models on the cover of Vogue, the picture has been modified to appeal to the widest possible audience while fitting the editor's conception of what they want to communicate.  The almost criminal part of this is that the modifications are not acknowledged and people, in their ignorance, compare themselves to the supposed perfection and feel that they come up short.  And don't get me started about the shape Barbie dolls have!

By the way, the comedian, Jeff Foxworthy, said something that I thought was pretty funny.  He said he liked reading women's magazines because it made him feel like he was spying on the "enemy"

Helen you are so right. I liked what Teri Anne had to say about reading the mags causing depression but I cannot simply stop buying them as I would miss out on the latest fashions, gossip and so on. I do get depressed looking at the drop dead gorgeous girls who have the tiny little tummies and look good in everything they wear and I know that they are only there to sell us on the idea that we should be hot looking but it's like when you eat too much over time for whatever reason then you look in the mirror every day and say oh I look fat and then spend twice as long trying to get rid of the pounds using diets from magazines you know are a waste of time but because you see some pictures of pretty girls with those skinny little hips and tight tummies you convince yourself that this is the way you should look. Im really funny like that.

I don't spend to much time in my life looking at naked woman... Probably because my parents would know... (they might even find out I'm on here... :-[ )

but also because I'd rather have my own body then look at somebody elses... of course I don't have the privilage of having a beautiful female body (yeah I know I sound wierd. I just want it so bad!!!! :-[ )...

You know Victoria, I sometimes think that I do not have a very female body but people have told me I do, so maybe we look too much at ourselves and judge ourselves too harshly. That is the whole point to what we are saying. These magazines make you feel bad about yourself.

I didn't want to be a perfect model. I don't care what society thinks of me. I just wanted to be an actual female...It wouldn't have mattered if my breasts where small or big... as long as I have all the traits of being a female physically.

It's so unnecessary to be like this... I don't know why I do it...why I'm here anymore even...
