Itchy scalp where it used to be thinning - sign of growth?

A quick HRT question.  The areas of my scalp that used to be thinning (crown, temples, the whole top really) are frustratingly itchy these days, and it's limited to those areas and nowhere else.  This comes a few months after my HRT was finally ramped up to a committed transitioning dose.  A sign that some of my lazier follicles are coming back to life, or a harbinger of future baldness?  Or just time for a change of shampoo?

Mine started tingling after I started HRT, but I haven't noticed any growing back yet...

I also got itching after starting HRT. People often say that itchiness is a precursor to growth, but for me it turned out to be a fungal infection that was not detected until I lost most of the hair that was not already killed by DHT. Since estradiol can make yeast more aggressive, I would definitely recommend seeing a dermatologist to check for evidence of fungal activity if itchiness starts while on HRT. Since fungal populations do not necessarily grow overnight, a delay of a couple months is plausible.

Never underestimate the power of estradiol or the people who have it.
