Hello all, long time no see.
I've been on HRT for about a year now and of course I'm not satisfied with the results (unrealistic I know).
Even though my doctor says I'm progressing a bit faster than average, it still is not enough. I was almost
30 when I started, meaning I have all the masculine features I need to minimize and HRT just won't cut it at this point.
My question is: in your own experience, how long does it take for the effects of HRT to hit a brick wall?
I'm delaying the feminization due to a couple of reasons. My doctor told me it would be best to wait for
HRT to take full effect.
Another reason is that when I finally get that far and completely rebuild my face, even if I'll turn into a super-model (unlikely, but one can only hope)
people will still be able to make me out due to my complexion: rediculously high, very broad shoulders and so on, and so forth.
So, right now I'm freelancing, but also building my own business so that I can be my own true boss full-time.
I've tasted enough of discrimination here for being an alien to know how tolerant people can be. I'm pretty sure I
can kiss my freelancing career goodbye once I show my true self to the world. At which point self-employment will remain my sole option.
Then there's the monetary reason: I just don't have a 10k euros lying around at the moment (that's how much it should cost here).
I've been saving some money. My priority right now is to lose my weight as I've gained a lot since I've started HRT and to rebuild
my face, the rest can wait. I guess I'll have to be more aggressive on negotiating my daily rates and just muscle my way to a
beautiful face.
Anyway, it's been very interesting so far and I have zero regrets in starting HRT, however masculine I may seem at the moment.
