I am nervous because it's a public event.

I can't wait for this day to come, i have been looking into this but have only
been at my address for 6 months and they require 1 year in the county

Courage and strength. You've got this. Yay! I'm so excited that your getting this done. I remember the day I had my done just as if it was done yesterday still. I will probably never forget it yet and it will be 8 months ago the 22nd of this month. Time sure fly's by when your having fun. It's a joyous moment  you are celebrating. Congrats! Maybe it will be like my name change was - there were only a couple of lawyers present in the courtroom along with the bailiff and the court secretary. I was first up and it was all over with in about 20 seconds   

Good luck.  Unless someone is objecting it should be really quick.
