Sex Redefined

Sex can be much more complicated than it at first seems. According to the simple scenario, the presence or absence of a Y chromosome is what counts: with it, you are male, and without it, you are female. But doctors have long known that some people straddle the boundary — their sex chromosomes say one thing, but their gonads (ovaries or testes) or sexual anatomy say another.

Some new science on the deffinition of physical sex and how it is broader than we see it as a society.

It did for me  and was worth reading. It has views that differ even from what many of us have read or believed in the past and make sense.

April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

One Friday night last fall, 50 well-dressed guests piled into an apartment in Hell's Kitchen for a party celebrating Sheela-Marie Padgett, a 57-year-old former dancer with the New York City Ballet.

Waiters passed drinks before a buffet dinner of fancy Indian food was presented. Then came a chocolate cake from the Erotic Bakery made in the shape of corseted showgirl with a male appendage. It was sliced up and served to the crowd.

My step-mother sent me this article.  I knew she knew as my father said he's talked to her about it.  So this was the first time acknowledging it to me.  I'm 40 btw, so it definitely applies to me.  [emoji5]

Which was fitting enough, because the following morning, Sheela — formerly known as Bruce — was scheduled to fly to Scottsdale, Ariz., for the last major procedure in her transition from male to female: gender
