I'm getting ready to start MtF HRT and would like very much to hear others' experiences in how it effected their emotions. Any input at all, would be great.   ^-^

The first few weeks were a roller coaster.  Tears coming down for no reason at all,  super warm fuzzy feelings from cuddling, more calm, less motivation.   Then the libido went away.  Now it's just sort of peaceful.  I really suggest if you have a partner, that you prepare them for mood swings and changes in libido so they don't take it personally.

I'm on my 2nd month and yeah, basically you will be more sensitive? I'm not sure if its that the proper word.

I was on HRT for 2 weeks and my therapist kept asking me if I was more emotional and did I cry more. I told her no and she kept saying I am blocking it. That week I was watching a television commercial about a dog that ages over time. I had seen it many times but this time I started crying and kept crying for 5 minutes. It hit me out of the blue. At that time I had a lot of other changes happening too.

How so? Did you get mad easier, or upset, or were the emtions that you typically feel stronger in some way?

About getting mad, well let me tell you this, it actually made me relax?. And the emotions are much stronger now, If I have to cry, I will CRY. Back in the days, perhaps I would have hidden my emotions.

That makes sense, thanks for the input.

I can't say it has made me more emotional since I was already fairly in touch with my emotions and able to express them. What I have found though is that when I am upset it is much easier to cry than before. Strangely, the tears feel fuller/fatter/hotter...they roll heavily off my cheeks. Never noticed that before.
