Heya!

So about six months ago was when I finally decided I was ready to start putting serious effort into my transition.  A big part of that has been losing weight, I was well above where I'd like to be, and in that time I've lost about 35 lbs.  But I've still got plenty to go.  I'm currently waiting on an appointment that will let me start HRT (I promise I don't spend all of my time staring at my phone willing it to ring.  Maybe only 80% of it).

My big question is, I'd quite like to continue my weight loss, but of course once I start HRT I'd like to see results there as well.  Am I shooting myself and my progress in the foot if I continue weight loss plans ones HRT starts?  I've been very worried about having it be more difficult to lose fat from the places I'm trying to lose it now (Under chin, stomach), and having my weight loss efforts instead get in the way of breast development and other fat that I'd quite like to have.

Anyone have much experience or advice about shedding pounds while starting HRT?

I have a little bit of short term experience having been on HRT for 7 weeks while losing 20 lbs.

What I have seen so far is the majority of loss coming from the waist while the hips and bust have lost very little.  I started with about A cup breasts from a previous time of DIY HRT.  They are still A cup since other measurements above and below are reducing faster.  If anything, they seem more pronounced even though their absolute measurement is about the same.  So the shape is changing in the right direction.

In my opinion, getting healthy is as or more important than getting boobs.  Not much point in getting them just to them drop over with a heart attack.

Thanks for the response, I know it's anecdotal but it's still pretty encouraging.  And you're right of course, health first, the rest will follow!
