ladies, pardon the interruption.  I know this topic has been beat to death around here and i apologize in advance for rehashing this topic again.  I have tried to research past and current posts, but it is extremely time consuming and then it simply confuses me even more because a lot of the posts are pretty technical and talk about resonance, Hz, speech patterns and even get into height and weight, etc.  So my head is spinning.

I am part-time MTF and my wife of 18 years is quizzing me about voice training or procedures.  I still present as male at work so not looking for voice surgery at least for a few years until I can make a career/job change or decide to come out at work.  So I have decided to take a swing at training.

(1) Anyone have a rec for a voice coach in Arizona?  My web search was not successful.

(2) It seems like many here have given positive reviews of Kathy Perez's programs, but some of the posts seem a little dated.  So, for those beginners that have recently purchased her program, are you happy or is there a different standard-bearer for beginners?

Sorry for rehashing this topic and because i am new to susans I hope I am not violating any policy about asking for recommendations.  I will keep searching around here for answers.  Any feedback is much appreciated.

Thanks

I think Susan Perez ist still doing good work. You can of course also try out the less costly approach and have a look at the Youtube Videos of "finding your female voice" (buying the DVD would cost money though, but I think the beginning parts are all on youtube), the famous CandiFla ;), or Melanie Anne Phillips videos and audio instructions. But of course a person to person session is always better and Kethie Perez does this at least via Skype - personally I would prefer a face to face version offline though ;)

I would try FYFV first. They are on YouTube but the exercises on CD and the book you have to purchase from deep stealth productions (google it).

I actually found a free pdf of their book on their website.  It was the volume one instructional book.

I paid for one of Kathe Perez's programs and found it very disappointing.

Later, I had great results with one on one coaching. Many people offer Skype sessions if they are not local.
