Hi!

So I received my first 3 month hormone levels of HRT...  and my testosterone somehow went up slightly.

Testosterone, Total = 309ng/dL (day 1 baseline was 220)
Estradiol = 46pg/mL  (day 1 baseline was 6)

I was explained by the doc. that T and E levels fluctuate together, and not to be worried as much about the T level.  I was prescribed Estradiol Valerate at this time, but that currently not available in my location.

The doctor also recommended sublingually taking the pill rather than just swallowing it. (lol) sorry.

Ok, point to all this rambling...

If my dosage remains effectively the same as it was for the first 3 months, will my hormone levels still continue to change in a feminizing manner? Or, will they remain at the current level if the dosage does not increase?

Hormone levels can still fluctuate even if the doses remain the same. Right now your doctor is trying to find the right combination for your HRT that is right for your body while keeping doses at the lowest dosages necessary to achieve the goal. Hugs and Good Luck

Hi Leeloo.
I assume you're in Dallas from your name?
Me too.
I have a month to go till my 3-month levels check.
I'm really anxious to see what they are!

Are you on low dose? The E levels seem really low and T seems high compared to mine but I started off with near female levels anyway.

Do you care more about levels or how you feel and overall feminization? If your answer is the latter, then I think your focus, with your doctor, should be on finding the DOSE, the regimen that most effectively addresses these concerns while not compromising your health, which she/he is doing. Levels fluctate, I agree and everyone responds differently.

E female levels can range anywhere from 20 pg/ml to up to 75,000 pg/ml, during a lifetime. T levels are lower than 100 pg/ml.
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

On HRT since early 2004
Post-op since late 2005

I find it hard that 20 pg/mL would do much of anything though, but maybe that's just me. Certainly if I was at that level I would at least want a thorough explanation from my doctor, if not a change in my regimen, or even a second opinion.
