Okay, so I finally told my best friend that I feel transgendered and she was really accepting!! It has taken me a few months of comptemplating and several weeks of serious thought, but I believe I am a mtf transgender.

Hello, congratulations    Hope you feel a lot better by it, I know I didn't feel too great when I did as neither people really accepted me. If you want we can maybe talk sometime, kind of looking for more people to talk to from here. 

The good news is once someone knows you don't have to tell them again! With that behind you you can both move forward.  I just came out to my sisters at 53, they've had a long time to get used to me being male. I wonder if the reaction to the news is different based on age.

Good for you! I'm sure that you gave it great thought and deliberation, knowing that you could lose a friend. He/she must be a very good friend to support you.

She is an amazing friend. I believe that she is very accepting because she is bisexual, like I am, and she is good friends with a slightly older transgender. Also, she said that she has know many transgendered people.
