FYI: I'm IS.

I never really had much body strength to begin with.  I could barely handle a forty pound box of chicken wings.  The other day at Best Buy, I bought a tablet, which the box was like six pounds, I had to set the box down to  rest about every five minutes.  I ended up with group of about six to eight male employees following me around the store.

This is why I need competent doctors who know about AIS, so I can know if my hormones are okay.  Since we actually don't know my resistance to testosterone is, we want to make sure I'm healthy.

Six pounds, that's like nothing. I have difficulty with a 5 gallon water bottle now whereas previously I didn't.

I wasn't strong to begin with but lost a lot of strength. I love it. Failing to pick something up or open a jar and asking the guy next to you. Its... yeah, nice. Or funny when you really struggle to try and lift or move something and they tease (in a friendly way) you for being so weak. I like that too.

After 15 months on HRT, I've lost some strength, but I can still pick up my wife (I've 6'7" and she's 5'4", and weighs 80 lbs less than me), but it's more difficult than before. I also notice it's harder to open some jars and I need to use a rag more often to open them. I used to be able to move heavy servers by myself and I still could in a pinch, but I rather get help than risk damaging computer equipment. Luckily I don't have to move them that often.

Thanks again to all those who have replied.

Sydney, the height and weight difference between me and my wife is just a little less extreme than in your case, so picking her up (even after HRT) hopefully won't be an issue. :P
