After I purged all my clothes and was determined to be a normal man 4 months ago I just (after acknowledging my gender issues and telling my girlfriend all about them) have started ordering clothes online to start building my feminine wardrobe up again. And I forgot how fun the shopping part is I do it all online though and now I must find patience for the stuff to all get here

I had a great appointment with my therapist today.  I feel so good and optimistic.  He told me he's not seen me smile as much as I have in the last 2 sessions.  He always asked if he should start using female pronouns and my female name.  He offered that on my first appointment, but I wasn't ready.  Now I am!

Only problem: I haven't decided on my name!  Arrgh!
I still want Cate, but that's too problematic.
So it's down to Charlotte, Camryn, and Cassandra.  I'm not feeling them like Cate, but I've got to let it go.

Getting "ma'amed" is nice but I got a "mommy" today. I went to get Chinese food And I had to carry the kids in.

The woman behind the counter saw them, then she realized something.... "Are they all the same age?" I said yes, triplets. She told them,"your mommy very lucky!"

Well ChiGirl .... I always say go with what you feel. I don't know the circumstances or reasons behind why you can't use "Cate", but if it's nothing too intense or overlapping, then I'd say to still go with it. You are who you feel you are.

Thanks.  Both my wife and my family feel it might be too many Cates/Kates in the family.  My niece is named Katelyn and called Kate, my new stepsister is Katherine, and so is my wife's sister and everyone calls her Katie.  My brother agrees with you. 

Saw a friend I hadn't seen for a while, told her about the SRS coming up...she asked if I was going to get a BA while I'm at it.

I didn't think so, but asked if she thought the Girls were OK, "proportional", given the size of my chest.

"Oh yes, they're quite nice, looking good."

I think my boobs grew a bit. My 34B bra is feeling a bit tighter and walking down the stairs without one (in a nightgown) is a bit uncomfortable. My hair is almost past my ears now too. Woot!

Opening the newspaper (print... yes, I'm a dino) and finding that Section C's cover page is dominated by a rainbow handprint and the headline, "12 Things to Consider If Your Child Is Transgender." Even better, it's positive, educated, sensitive, and wonderful. I believe it was written by someone at PFLAG.

It did have a glaring error... there were two bullet points numbered 3, so the headline was off by one... oops. I'll let that slide.

Hi Jeni ..... can you share a link to the article, it sounds like it's a good read for all.

I'll try, I have not been able to find it online yet.

Met my new PCP today, she seems great. I gave her my whole trans history and she took some blood and info on my medical records. She said she's focused on getting me on hrt! I meet with the Trans Health Advocate at the same facility on Friday for my hrt readiness assesment. The labs will be reviewed, the two will confer. I am very happy! My most sincere hopes are being realized! I just hope my bodily systems are still functioning well enough for eveything to move forward.

Female victoried (formerly known as male fail) everywhere today.

At work one of my coworkers told me he noticed a lot of changes about me and asked if he could talk about them. I told him no because I don't discuss my personal life.

The indian food takeout I usually go to didn't address me as "sir" at all today and they usually do right off the bat. And they know me.

My hair, HRT plus my 2nd session of laser is working wonders.

My hair is actually as long as one of my old (cis) girlfriends and she's what I would call girl next door good looking.

My visit to the doctor today went really well. I just got my first estrogen injection and I feel so high right now! My doctor also told me that I have feminized significantly since she met me (last April) and that my face and hair looked very feminine. The parking attendant greeted me as "ma'am" twice before saying "sir," but that is way better than last time. I am a happy girl today!

Last night, I was reading to my daughter (5 y.o.) and she was cuddled up next to me. As if that weren't enough, she was gently "petting" my slightly stubbly arm and commenting about how nice it was, soft with the little poky hairs.

I'm still just plain ol' "dad" to my kids---we haven't had any talks yet. I was a little apprehensive about showing my bare arms, but it's nice that the reaction is "daddy is soft and fun to touch" and not "wtf is going on here?"

I mean, I knew that she wouldn't have the frame of reference to think that way, but there's nothing quite so affirming as being accepted by a child.

That's awesome, Jeni.  Kids are great.  Their honesty in situations like that are so affirming.

I'm happy because I bought my first makeup today!  SQEEEE!  Sure, it's crap makeup from the dollar store, and I had to go to a dollar store in a far away town, and this was my second attempt, but still.  MAKEUP!  MY VERY OWN MAKEUP!  It'll be good to practice with at home.  Then I can get good stuff!  [emoji175] [emoji168] [emoji140] [emoji182]

That is so sweet Jeni! I was able to buy a couple of pairs of short shorts, not to short, and two pairs of jeans, blue and black. Tops is another matter. Can't seem to find what 'fits'.

Today my electrologists was able to to a FULL clearing of my face with no hair left. She thinks next week will only be a 15 min session and that's it. So I will then go to sessions further apart with something between 15-30 min sessions every 2 weeks or month depending on what grows back.
