Hey,

I still get morning wood a couple of times a month.   I'm 3 years at this and eight months post orchi.

There are no absolute rules..

To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

After about a year on low dose estrogen, I have morning erections maybe once a week, but they are not very strong.  I've started blockers for almost a month now and there isn't much going on downstairs anymore.  Yay!

Mine died after the first week. It still works if I want it too, however lately its been more active than before but no where near as bad as pre-hrt.

It's kind of weird for me. I've always taken Androcur through my HRT, and when I started it downstairs died very quickly. Like, the very next day  I already felt a big difference, and after two weeks I felt no need to masturbate but also was difficult getting sexually aroused at all. My T levels were consistently below test range.

As we tried to lower the Androcur dosage gradually, the situation stayed the same until I switched from Estrofem to Oestrogel, and then all of a sudden I had male T and E levels and sexually everything was "working" again.

We raised back the Androcur dosage, and it's just about as dead as it was before in the past 3 months and the blood tests confirm my T is back below test range. Yet strangely enough, I had a "wet dream" last night and woke up with morning erection, though I didn't feel actually sexually aroused and didn't want to masturbate so it dwindled pretty quickly. Still, it's kind of strange that it happened at all. My experience on Androcur is that it never happens if the dosage is not super low, like what I had when I switched to Oestrogel.

Androcur is pretty strong. If you're on Spiro I hear it takes longer, but I've only ever been on Androcur so I wouldn't know.

I'm on spiro and it only took a couple of days to eliminate 90% of my insane "hunger". Now my "hunger" is much more reasonable and manageable.

It went down to seldom when I was only on the patches but after switching to the injections six weeks in and adding Spiro it died off quickly not that it responded a tone before that point anyway.

My experience is rather funny admittedly. I started with Spiro + Premarin and in no time, spontaneous errections died and morning wood was disrupted. Then soon the morning wood vanished and it was only with inspiration that it acted up. Effectively my drive just plummeted and I was okay with it. Then around month 5 something changed. As I started to experience emotions on a female level, my friend below decided to sync up with my new feelings. Feelings which, pre-hrt I felt were always pure like an innocent maiden. I've switched to CPA + Premarin for now and once my drug plan covers the injections (the pharmacy already has em prepared too, I'm quite excited to be a customer there), I kind of hope it stays that way so that I can feel vibrant after SRS. I believe I even got wider too for a bit, before my size took a hit around the 6-month mark.

With Premarin + CPA, I hope your doctor keeps an eye on prolactin levels. Both drugs tend to increase it significantly and occasionally lead to pituitary problems.
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

On HRT since early 2004
Post-op since late 2005

She is always watching my prolactin levels, she's definitely a pro in that regard. Everything's checked in golden on my last test but I do my part in keeping ontop of things too.
