I believe that plastic surgeons should NOT take patients who may have unrealistic attitudes.

That's a good point, Jay.  He really didn't say much to me, except that I should have a good result, but maybe that is because there wasn't anything more to say?  I hope that he assesses people's expectations and lets them know if their expectations are not in line with what he can provide in (one?) surgery.

During my phone consult, Dr. Garramone told me that half of his patients are larger guys, so logically, one would think that there would be more people who are dissatisfied with him posting pictures of their surgery.  I think having realistic expectations is the best way to go.  I've seen healthy, physically fit thin guys who have prepped for surgery (top and bottom), and yet they still needed a revision or have some type of complication that couldn't have been avoided.  Meanwhile, I've seen guys that didn't appear to be as physically fit (not saying that they weren't), and they have decent results from the get go and have no need for a revision (speaking mostly about top surgery now).  That being said, having realistic expectations, yet staying positive can take someone a long way.  Personally, I have decided that if a nipple of mine is kind of jacked up, or even falls off, I will just get medical tattooing and be done with it.  If I'm not please with the results, I will get a revision whenever I can afford it.  Prayerfully, it won't come to that, but it if does, then big deal.  It happens.

Sorry I just went off into a tangent there, lol!

Guys who are not satisfied with their results are a lot less likely to go showing pictures and videos of their chests.  So looking up results is kinda biased considering almost all the guys posting their pics are satisfied with their results and proud of their chests.   Most who arent satisfied would rather remain silent than share their bad results and experience  to the whole net world and public.  I'm part of a lot of social network groups with a big trans population and the guys complaining about their results rarely post pics.  I had to private message a few of them who agreed to show a pic to me if i didnt show anyone else.  I have some pretty terrible results from many of the 'top' top surgeons

It's true but probably not as a rule. YOu are going to be better off not being morbidly obese, otoh, I've seen people who lose weight after top surgery because it's the first time they feel okay about themselves (think Chaz Bono here). Being really thin people can get poor results due to having no pecs.

that brings up a good question Aleon

if you are heavy and lose weight after top surgery how does that effect your results?

does it make your chest look better as u lose fat on it?

or does it look saggy or the fat does not go away?

I do know that gaining or losing weight you are  more likely to have revisions.

i have a good 40 lbs to lose and worried how it might effect my chest

im hoping with working out i can tone my body to avoid needing a revision but 40 lbs is a lot so im already starting to save money for a revision so if i do need it i'll have it ready when the time comes

As I understand it loosing weight is generally not a bad thing. Whatever saggy skin their is around they chest they remove.
