Not much response in the other thread, so I try this one. My coming out is little bit different,

Could you give us more details?

You were assigned male at birth.  You are transitioning to be a woman and you want a relationship with another woman who is your friend?

Kinda lost here.

To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

You could have a look here for a few thoughts that might help:

Well its up to you since you know them best... I'd talk to them, explain a bit and ask them what their opinion is... in some kind of private setting, or via chat... so everyone could talk about their emotions, what really moves them...

I'd say something along the lines the core of the person will be still the same... with the same sense of humour etc... maybe like a male/female twin...
