So last novemeber i told my doctor i am transgender(mtf) it was a crazy emotional.
Anyhow , to start my transition I need to see a therapist. So she sent out a email to the GIS center here in cheshire.I got my letter saying I must sign to confirm you want treatment ect ect

Well,I finally got my appointment date and its in august! So far away to go! :-(
Is this how long it usually takes to see a therapist.Im using the time to loose weight and get my body toned up and ready so when I start HRT I am not starting from day 1.You know...

So the question I am asking is this.Does it usually take this long to see a therapist?

Thank you!
Ashlyn

P.S...Spelling might be bad,had a little to much wine  :D

I know here in Canada some provinces have wait time that lasts a year.

I would just tell them if your schedule is free that you would take a cancellation if one comes up.

I missed your intro so wish you,

In Adelaide at the moment the waiting time is about 9 months!

Best advice, start to transition, get the face cleared, dress as you like, grow your hair out etc.

You need the medics to get HRT etc but there is no reason not to be yourself!
