I think that a lot of my not passing is due to my voice. It gets extremely female-sounding when I'm nervous, which is basically any time that I interact with anyone that I don't know super well.
I think that I have confused people in public restrooms (using the women's.) One time a lady even walked out with a perplexed look on her face then came back in
But once I open my mouth, there's no hope.

Igatun, yep, very passable to me. We should get together, since I get misgendered too, until I open my mouth!

Well, the past few days I have had absolutely no control of my voice.
I'm almost five months on T and I feel absolutely great
But, I thought I would ask what ya'll think of my new haircut. Personally, I have been rather shy with it, considering the last time I cut it short everyone just thought I looked like a lesbian and that gave me a whole lot of dysphoria.



And then I also wanted to ask what everyone here thinks of my voice. I have been told I sound really gender neutral, though more on the masculine side.

I think you pass! Wow, you look great. If I had to guess your age, I think I would go 20+ but then again, I have always been horrible at guessing ages xD

@Dalex: You have a great singing voice. I guess it sounds a bit gender neutral but I would default to thinking it's a guy. Do you have any voice training or are you self taught? Sounds great.

Thank you I'm self taught, though used to do choirs as a kid so I have that to take with me when I sing today. Though, before T and I think about two years ago, I was actually a soprano till I started to try to lower my range, so it has been a rather interesting journey to take with my singing. My sisters used to constantly comment about how I sang like a Disney princess, hopefully I'm getting closer to sounding like a prince not a princess though xD

Dalex, your voice definitely passes in my ears.

Probably one of the last photo posts I'll probably do lol, but I think I have improved greatly over the course of these months, around 3 months on T now and I'm starting to notice changes. I found an old photo of me before T. What do you guys think? Any noticeable changes? definite passing?

I don't know if it's just my area, but that style fauxhawk is only one I tend to see on transmen or very edgy gals with lots of piercings/tatts? Don't get me wrong it looks good, just from the side it reads more neutral than male to me.  There are a lot of guys in this college town with super long hair though, so maybe it is just considered androgenous.  I sort of feel it would look more traditionally masculine if the sides matched the shortest length of the back of the do! I don't want to be super critical though, my hair is all way too long for a traditional man's haircut and I know it's a major reason people see me as more femme XD  I am pretty much non passing a lot of the time, so jealous of your awesome jawline ha ha!

  Your face is very manly tho, the front especially reads guy, you look like one of my cousins a bit, he's got a similar facial structure and is a super cutie

I actually, to tell the truth, had almost no say in this haircut... It was originally supposed to be longer on the sides then it is currently, but still a bit long at the top xD A shorter version of the haircut I already had since I thought that one suited me. I have to agree, where I am from, I only see butch lesbians (Nothing wrong with that) with that haircut. So, when I could feel where this haircut was going I had like a miniature panic build up. I'm just going to say, I look forward to my hair growing out. I just think it suits me better to have some hair on my head, and oddly enough, even with shoulder length hair I was passing a lot better in person then when I do with short hair. I might take up on your advice though and see about getting the back of my head taken to the same length it is on the sides, but keep the top.

My hair isn't yellow in person, I swear! Not too sure what happened in that picture. I was mocking my partner about the way he poses for pictures as he never seems to smile, haha. (I'm pre-everything at the moment)
