Dr Medalie reviewed my chest photos and said he would do the peri procedure and gave me the price. I emailed back with a few questions and asking to schedule as soon as possible so hopefully I get an email by Monday or Tuesday with my next step. Ahhh so excited!! Turns out my surgery may not be completely financed by my mom. But I'm starting this process anyways. I just got a second job and can pay the scheduling fee which I think is like 10% of the total cost. And then I'll just keep saving. Regardless if I don't have the money saved in time my mom said she'd cover anything extra, I'll just probably have to pay her back. But I have to do this now. I can't take this binder much longer. I spend hours alone in my room just so I don't have to wear it. Top surgery can't come soon enough!!!

Congratulations on moving forward with this -- it's a huge step, and it must feel great.

Thanks guys! And he actually requires like 10% of the total surgery price to be payed at the time of scheduling from what I understand. It's not technically a fee, my bad on the wording.

It must be new then, because i have had three procedure with him and the most recent one just happened a few days ago. l have never paid such fee. I do know that there is a $200 fee if you cancel your surgery less than two weeks before, but never heard of the deposit of scheduling fee.

hmm weird I could have sworn I was told that by someone. Maybe not. I guess I'll see when I'm contacted about scheduling.

The scheduling fee is new, I had to pay $250 deposit when I scheduled a surgery with him back in March. The money goes towards your surgery, and is refunded as long as you cancel two weeks before, should you choose to.

Seems like everybody has one of these. Fischer's is 10% of your total surgery cost. Not sure if any of it is refundable or not if you have to cancel, but it does go towards surgery cost.
