Age has never bothered me. I've liked every age I've been so far. It's the crap that happens to me along the way that hurts. Age is just a number, I don't care.

I will not go quietly into the night of time.

I may be 42, but I still feel 24.  In fact one of my best friends is that age.   His favorite thing to do is tease me about my age.... I do counter with you were still in diapers when I got married.  All in all not much different in the mindset between 24 and 42 except the experience behind the scenes.
