I have a Texas concealed handgun license. Used to be a resident briefly many moons ago and moved out (I should have stayed, I love it there) but I kept the CHL and kept renewing it.

This year I change my name and gender marker. In NJ they are good about it just a form you hand to motor vehicles. I can change my naturalization certificate and passport with a doctor's statement. But I would still like to keep the Texas CHL and update my name and gender on it.

So how do I go about getting DPS to change my gender marker on my CHL? I would ask but they seem to be erratic about replies sometimes taking weeks. Surely there must be one or two susan's people in TX with a CHL? I know they tie it to your DL. Oh this is another thing. With the change in gender I will have a new DL number too.
