Ok, no need to get into details... (maybe mtf...pre everything blah blah blah etc...)

I want to wear girl jeans to the university (I'm doing my PhD there) but I'm still so damn shy (I don't really think it as crossdressing, more that I like the shape they give to my body). I've worn a couple of times clear nail polish but nothing else really. The 2 girl jeans I have now are skinny, low rise but just plain blue without any fancy details on pockets etc. Still, to me they seem definitely feminine; also I haven't worn anything like this before so I'm pretty sure that (at least the girls) will guess that I'm wearing girl jeans. (there isn't in there anybody else wearing androgynous clothes)

Ofcourse (I can hear you people saying: you're thinking about transition and you are too shy to wear girl jeans...)

Anyway, just need the courage to just wear them. It's just that I'm like 99% sure that there will be several comments about them (again maybe not, but considering the behavior of certain girls in the lab I'd say there will be comments).

edit: I'm probably making a big deal out of nothing but it's a difference to how I've been presenting up to now.

If anyone says anything just smile and say you wear them because you like them.

Hi Kelly.like you i have female jeans and no one has said anything.  And like you i wear a clear nail polish on my long nails which others [mostly females] do notice.  I am a closet dresser for the most part but i do wear 2 earrings in each ear and i have long hair.  But being a long time closet dresser i don't plan to come out anytime soon because i am a fairly introverted character.  Bronwyn

I been wearing my  female jeans at least all winter if not a bit longer and nobody said anything about it to me. I do it all the time now, work too, and I work with mostly women, some of whom are pretty blunt about things so I think if they thought something weird was going on, they'd mention it. I am not out to most either but ya, nobody has said anything or acted weird or anything. I don't think most people notice, pay attention that much. I guess it depends on just how skinny they are tho, mine ain't super skinny.

Anyways, I'd say go for it, see what happens.

They are skinny. These ones http://www.hm.com/us/product/86326?article=86326-A. Although they aren't exactly form fitting; there are wrinkles around the hips ("extra" cloth) and under the bottom....but meh. I think they don't look too bad.

kinda off topic...how the f()$*@# do you keep your phone on your jeans. I have a galaxy s4 and there is no frigin way to put it comfortably in a pocket... (my regular kinda slim guy jeans fit like 3 phones in each pocket)

they are tight, if you have the body wear them.  Finding a place for your cell phone is a problem, some girls carry them in their hand or in a purse.  You will probably need to tuck to be able to wear them without showing.  These don't have much in the way of fancy details on them, so are a good pair to start out.

I wear womans jeans just about anywhere except for work.

Just in regards to people making comments,I find it helps to rehearse a couple casual, non defensive responses.  Mostly smiling and saying, "They feel comfortable and make me look good,"  or "Some girls like men's pants better,I guess I'm just the opposite side of the spectrum!"  If you can be uncaring and laugh it off if someone seems to really need to know, they will end up not thinking it's such a big deal.  Just do your best to be confident and know it feels right/looks good.  Avoid being defensive or shocked if someone asks,because it's really not a big deal.  Men used to wear fancy tights, makeup and super pretty clothes in many cultures and in other countries it tends to not be such a big deal.  My favorite Eddie Izzard sketch was his response to some loudmouth shouting "BLOKE IN A DRESS!!" at him.  He just turned, looked him in the eye and said, "So?" (or something along those lines).  Not getting ruffled will pretty much kill off any interest anyone ight have in teasing you, while shrugging and saying you like it is a good enough explanation for any reasonable person who is just curious.

I find the reasonable, curious types can either make great allies, or might even be interested in learning more for various reasons. Maybe they want to cross dress too and you could be their role model, ah ha ha!   You never know!

OK...  I was so stupid... jeans are just a piece of cloth not feminine or masculine (except maybe extreme bootcut or distressed or with girly details on pockets).

I wore a simple pair of girl jeans today (the ones from H&M) and nobody said a thing or even looked. Most people don't even bother with these things.Maybe someone noticed they were skinny- ish but that's all.

They're kinda loose at the ankles anyway. It's as if I hoped somebody would say something. I didn't feel any different or excited. It was only the initial feeling when I bought them or wore them at home without having gone out.

I don't even know if I could have guessed if these jeans I was wearing are girl's or not (seeing somebody wearing them) but I believe I'm too self conscious.

I wear women's jeans every day, also tops, pantyhose and shoes or boots in the cooler months usually with a woman's jacket or coat over and nobody has yet made any comments to my face.
If they did I really don't care any more as what I wear is my business alone as I've gotten older I feel less of a need to explain myself to others..I am who I am

People are too busy to study your jeans.
Yes. Transgender people worry too much about themselves, although most people are busy and not interested in them.

After wearing for about a month "regular skinny" female jeans I wanted to move on.
I searched many stores but most of them either didn't have my size (they only had small ones) or they were too expensive (100+...250 euros for a pair of jeans? Seriously?). At first it still felt weird searching for girl jeans since just about every shop attendant told me "these are women's" when I tried to look the size or something else.
[one reason I try women's skinny jeans is that they fit me better than men's 'cause I had kinda large bum]

Eventually I continued to the female clothes section (in big stores it's on separate floors).
I finally found a pair that kinda fits (on that shop I was the only "guy" on the floor. I waited on the line for the fitting rooms (only women's) with like 10 women in front of me).

What do you think? Do they look ok/ nice on me? Honest opinions. Yeah I know they are kinda girly (low rise skinny ripped blue jeans with white spots? - don't know how to describe it better but you get the idea).
(yeah I know I'm still hairy but can't shave or laser my arms now)

Could I wear them at the university or are they way too trashy? (there are considered definitely more "girly" - because of the color too).

All I know is I like wearing them because it makes me feel more girly and happy (in a calm way).

As it makes you feel girly, it is fine.

Anyway I wore these skinny ripped light blue jeans today and it was fine. The only comments I got from colleagues were: (from a guy) "Hey, nice jeans" and from a woman (not girl), "Hey, you're wearing ripped jeans. Trendy today, aren't we?". Nobody else made any remark (although I'm sure the girls noticed them, they just didn't say anything).

Only my mom in the afternoon told me that they are too trashy with all these holes and that "educated people don't wear clothes like these" (Yeah well times have changed).

Yesterday I met my dad and uncle at their later 70s. They commented that my denim short pants are too much short.
Very short pants have been trendy during the past few years here.

I was the same way when I got my first female jeans, I only wore them when I was out as a girl. But after some time I just started to not care and in the last 3 years I didn't buy or wear any male jeans. One of these jeans is pretty tight, skinny style and I even wore these jeans to job interviews and I got a job
