I'm 5'4", barely.  I'm not really good at judging others' height, so I really don't feel short around anyone unless they tower over me.  I work out at a body building gym, where shorter is an advantage.  Muscles display better on smaller frames.  So lots of short, built guys surround me.  And I'm just one of them.
I don't body build.  I power lift.  So being short and squat isn't a disadvantage there, either.  One of my work out partners is the exact same size as me.  (We like that we don't have to adjust benches, etc).  He's a 9 year former marine and now a police man.  No one would 'look down on him' for any reason.  And he gets hit on all the time, too.

So, what I've seen is that masculine height isn't just how tall you are, it's what you do with what you've got that makes a bigger impression on the guys and the women, too.

You just figured out, man :eusa_clap:

@1984, I've read that joking abour yourself helps to build confidence, or at least to fake confidence, but the longer you do it, you start to realice it's not really a big deal and you're no longer faking.

The good part is that making jokes about my height makes me feel way better. If I don't take it too seriously, it won't appear as a big problem. Strangely, mocking myself makes me feel stronger and better about almost everything related to my dysphoria. I started calling myself Mr. Baggins and I kind of liked it.

That's a good idea too! When you joke about it, over time you start to place less importance on it until it doesn't really bother you anymore. It's funny that you mention Baggins actually; it made me remember my dad started calling me "hobbit" awhile ago. It was more because I hate shoes but it also works because of my height.  :P

I can get really height dysphoric, I'm 5'6. All of the men in my family are tall are muscular so I always feel so tiny. But then I remind myself that there are other short men out there. Basically most of Hollywood is super short. I believe Johnny Depp is the same height as I am. I used to be a fan of this band and all of their members were 25ish year old men and they were all shorter than me. Men come in all different shapes and sizes!
