Hi! So I started Estrogen and Spirno 4 and 5 months ago, respectively. I started breast growth pretty fast, within a few weeks, but then it pretty much stopped all together around the 2.5 month mark on estrogen. Two weeks ago my doctor added progesterone and bumped my estrogen and spirno up but nothing has happened so far except the lump behind my nipples has gone away.

Is this normal? Will they start up again? How long after the addition of progesterone did you notice anything start to change, if anything changed at all? I feel a little discouraged since everything I've read has said by this point girls had already developed something more than a flat chest. Mine is still very very flat. Any insights?

Starting and stopping and starting again is fairly typical. Breasts take four to five years to fully develop in teenage genetic girls, no different for us.

You might try breast massage, a few times a day... you could look that up for techniques...

is it biodientical progesterone ? That might be of advantage...

I've been reading that might help, I'm for sure going to give that a try! And as far as the type, I'm honestly not sure. The bottle form the pharmacy just says "Progesterone" and it's manufactured by Teva.

Any insight into what kind that might be?

Okay, good to know starting and stopping is normal! Do you know what the sudden absence of the lumps behind the nipples means?

That they're getting ready for another round of growth.

Might be the bioidentical one. It should be capsules. The synthetical one is called progestin, should be tablets.

I take the generic version of bio-identical progesterone known as prometrium. I think its made by TEVA? (the label says TEV) and it's a little light pink colored football shaped pill if that helps any.

As you are probably already aware do not take Progesterone for longer than 10 days at a time. This is because Progesterone regulates Estrogen and keeps it in check and CAN lower it if used too much. The idea is to attempt to mimic the "natural" hormone cycling bio females undergo.

Please do not give medical advice on the forum - everyone should follow the directions of their prescribing physician.

Hrm... not trying to be argumentative especially on my first day here but... here I go. I simply answered with information relevant to the 'topic' at hand. This topic is a question regarding "hormones" that clearly must be consumed wether prescription or otherwise in which even herbal supplement manufacturer's recommend that you "refer to your medical provider before considering taking this supplement" this goes along with progesterone creams as well etc. In essence this topic or any topic regarding advice on hormone dosages, recommended products, or "why is this happening to me since I started taking :insert name of prescription or other sort here:? topics and replies are users essentially asking or giving medical advice.

As usual, there are different opinions on that.
Some say cycling might affect mood.
Others say a cycle helps growth spurts... others say they take it continuously... you might look up a few experiences and talk them through with your endo... I'd also watch mood... a more steady dose like topical twice a day or implants might be a possibility...

Theory is it balances some effects of estrogen, affects breast development, has some antiandrogen effects and evens out mood somewhat...

Have you measured yourself? I actually thought I was stalled but I actually grew, and not an insignificant amount either. B cup is getting tighter but not ready for C just yet. I look at past pictures of myself and it is night and day. The only thing I'm not pleased about is my nipples but it is early still.

I think that's roughly when mine stopped growing too. But they've recently started on their own again with no changes to the meds.

Some good points there Luara7. Sorry not giving advise at this points just saying that I may try progesterone myself sometime. I'll probably do the 1.5 at the end of month method as well as breast massage and see how things go. Another great thing for breast development is to EAT EAT EAT! We are all after all going through second puberties so eat like a teenager, get plenty of rest, drink lots of water(to carry nutrition to cells better) and get moderate exercise.

I take progesterone continuously and have no problems.

I added in, 5 days a week, wild caught salmon, 2.5 ounces. I probably remember 4 times a week.  Protein is important as well as sleep.

I follow my prescription directions and I use a bio identical progesterone.

well you could do a few things you like... walking... biking... swimming... a few minutes a day, just regularly...
