I have a choice of 2 local FFS surgeons for brow bossing/brow lift, rhinoplasty/septum, and tracheal shave. One of them does everything at once with no hesitation. The other will only do the top part of my face but says with the trache shave, there might be swelling and breathing concerns. I want to do everything at once and not have to go under anasthesia multiple times and have 2 seperate recovery times. I just had a friend do her FFS/GRS in Thailand and she had no problems breathing.

Prices are roughly the same for each surgeon so that is not an issue for me. I've done tons of research over the past few years and had never heard of issues with nose, brow, throat, and chin and jaw being done in one surgery. Has anybody heard of something similar? I'm on the verge of making a decision for a possible surgery date next month.

I do like the prudent and safety-conscious attitude of your one surgeon.  This said, I had a nose job and trach shave in separate procedures, but the trach shave in no way affected my breathing.  Anatomically, however, I'm reasonably sure that mouth and nose air pathways converge well before the larynx is reached, so I don't quite understand why these two procedures should not be performed simultaneously.

Yes, there is some swelling in the area of tracheal shave, and because of rhinoplasty you will breath only through mouth for the first 5 days approximately..... Well, I didn't have any problems with breathing because od having both done at once. And if that would be anyhow common problem, I'm shure we would read about it more often.

From what you ladies have told me and from what I have seen in person and online, there should be no problems with having everything done at once. I think I am close to making a decision! 

I did everything at once, I did have trouble eating, and vision was a bit tough for a couple of days, I do not recall any issue with breathing my nasel cavities were packed so other than that I do not remember anything to bad, thirst and lips drying out, swallowing, lol just the regular stuff the doctor expected

I had both nose and throat done on April 3rd and had no problems what so ever.  I am glad that they were done at one time!.  This is me at one week (3 days ago)

Nice! Seeing you other women go through it certainly puts my mind at ease and makes my decision a lot easier.
