So this is just a quick question, but if I were to start testosterone for a few months then stop for 6 months then restart would it affect the changes you would normally go through. For example if my voice dropped a small amount before I "paused" my injections, when i come back to taking T would my voice continue to drop or just stay the same? Or if I began having hair growth would it continue after starting T up again?

From what I have read the changes would pause and then continue from where they left off when you were on T. So yes your voice would drop more and those few chin hairs would potentially turn into a beard when you restart. Perhaps you should look into a low dose to start with so everything is more gradual and there would not be a need to stop at all.

I'm kind of in the same boat against my will. My old doc had dropped my T so low that it was far below the low end of normal. Everything just stopped. My body went backwards, i lost hair on my body and facial hair just about stopped. I asked my new doc the same thing when I went to him. He told me that everything would come back, and though i might experiences a strong boost or change, it would settle out as soon as my new hormone level was stabalized again.

Its probably not a good idea to pause or stop unless you have to because the major fluctuations of hormones is a little hard on the body, but I don't think you will have any problems as far as your physical changes restarting.

Im confused. So you already started, stopped and want to start again? or are you on and wondering what's gonna happen if you come off for 6 months? Largely its going to depend on what kind of testosterone you're using as well. "Test is test" but depending on which ester, will depend on when you'll start seeing results again

Things would pick up where they left off. When you start T, they give you a sheet of info about changes that are reversible and irreversible. I would look over that and refresh your memory. Your voice won't get higher if you go off, and you'll continue to drop to a certain point when you start up. Body hair grows all the time, just typically different with estrogen being the primary hormone. So that wouldn't stop for you, it would just slow or the texture may be different. Facial hair growth would probably slow in that period. I wouldn't expect new growth.

I've been off for 2 weeks for surgery and it's no fun. Wouldn't recommend going on, off, and back on again unless there's a really good reason for it. If you haven't already started, I'd strongly recommend just holding off on starting until you've done whatever you were planning to pause for.

I think ftmax explained what to expect best, some things will go back fast, some slower and others not much at all.  Another variable is how long you are on t when you stop. Ftmax I hope your surgery is successful and you get back on t quickly.

I agree, things will pause and then restart where it left off. I think the most difficult part is when you get off you could go through a lot of mood swings or even depression, it varies from person to person but it's definitely not a pleasant ride.
