The EEOC, "today [4/8/15] ruled that an employer's refusal to allow a transgender employee access to restroom facilities consistent with his or her gender identity is sex discrimination under Title VII. "

=================

As a counterpart to PJI's California bathroom bully ballot initiative, a ruling at the federal level.

Notch one for the Transgender Law Center. Good going!  :eusa_clap:

Though, need to point out that this is not a judicial ruling and doesn't carry the force of law. EEOC is executive. They're saying they're going to pursue workplace bathroom issues as sex discrimination. My understanding is that they would still need to win in court if the company challenged it, though I'm not a lawyer.

Legal folks on Susan's, is this right?

This is a federal employer though. I'm not sure how it applies to private employers. We still need to get an ENDA bill passed. A full one not the one with trans provisions gutted by our so called allies.
