i had my first electrolysis appointment today about 6 hours ago, the redness has gone away but I'm still a little puffy.

I've had about 7 laser treatments already, so I'm seeing if i can clear up the remaining little patches now with electro!!

how long is it likely i will stay puffy? Laser tended to keep me swollen for like 2 or 3 days!

i think i like electrolysis better because atleast the hair is gone immediately, and you don't have to wait 2 weeks for it to shed, and not be able to shave the area!! (the incredibly frustrated part of laser removal!)

I am seven months in of my laser appointment and decided not to do electrolysis.  I don't mind shaving once a day saves money and my 5 o'clock is totally gone (can see from my avatar picture)... but I still got small white hairs that pop up by morning.  I never had any puffy or soreness after a laser appointment, that's rather different.  Hope it goes well with you :-)

Alexis consider yourself lucky. Unfortunately for me, i always have a long recovery. It must be because i have always had sensitive skin.

Apart from after my first appointment where the area that I had done was red, raised and numb for a while. Whenever I have electrolysis, it settles down after just an hour or so.

I wish I recovered so quickly! After my second electrolysis appt., last Thursday, it has taken to today before I have seen the swelling go down. I have to let my facial hair grow for days before it is long enough to my gal. My next is on Thursday. Leaving my beard that long really gets to me.

I think once your skin becomes used to the process it'll settle down sooner.

I'm the same. I have to let it grow for 4+ days for it to be long enough. :-\

From one session of electro I didn't get any redness or swelling on face from it, but for all 6 laser sessions on my face I got redness and minor swelling due to my sensitive skin.

I have turned red both times from electro but the redness only lasted two days.

I am happy for your first appt. I hope everything goes well. I wonder if one can get laser and electrolysis going during the same months. For example laser 4-5 weeks apart with electrolysis in between. Does do both complicate things? Is one better or faster than another?
