I had what will hopefully be my last appointment at CAMH last week. I have been going to CAMH every 6 months for the last 4 years in order to receive approval for government funding for GRS. Last week I met with two doctors there and both said that I am a perfect candidate for GRS, and after their conference meeting next month, I should be receiving approval for surgery.
It is amazing that this long journey finally seems to be coming to an end. Hopefully by this time next year I will be preparing for surgery in Montreal with Dr. Brassard!
