Did you take advantage of already traveling for surgery?

...I couldn't think of a better title. What I mean is, if you traveled for surgery, in the course of staying around for a week, did you also do a little sight seeing?

For those who went to Dr Medalie, where did you go? Anyone can answer, but I'm scheduled for Dr Medalie in a month so.  :)

I only stayed in the area overnight. I saw the sights at the Bob Evans next to my hotel :)

I was not in any pain my first week out of surgery, but I found that activity-wise, I could really only sustain a good energy level for about 2 hours at a time for the last week. If I was doing a lot during those two hours, I would need to nap. If I wasn't doing a lot, I would at least need to lay down and rest my eyes.

Not trying to dissuade you from getting some fun travel ideas, but that first week IMO and others that I have read, does not sound very conducive to sightseeing or similar activities.

I was just curious. It's Ohio, frankly the thing I'd be interested in seeing is the lake.

There is the rock and roll hall of fame. If you weren't having surgery then I would say Cedar Point.

Your going to Medalie in a month? That's awesome! Congratulations! I'm waiting to hear back about scheduling right now, I had my consult so once he signs off on my clearance letter I should be able to book a date. How long have you had your surgery date?? As for what I'm planning to do in Cleveland, I'll probably sightsee the first day but I figure I'll be in bed recovering mostly (I'm planning to bring my Xbox). Hopefully the hotel I pick is near something interesting because I plan to take short walks everyday to help with blood flow. Good luck with your surgery! And please post about your experience, I can't find enough info about what it's like going to him.

I enjoyed my couple days in Florida in the fall. But if I went to FL on vacation it would NOT be to Fort Lauderdale.

I hung out in downtown a bit, because i live in a small town so I was really excited to see a (sort of) city.

Also went to Grovecity outlets to shop for clothes on my way from cleveland to pittsburgh.
