Hi everyone,

I'm really just looking for some stories really.

I'm due my surgery with Mr Thomas in exactly 5 weeks. I'm absolutely petrified of the pain that I will endure, I have a very low pain threshold, just so you understand how low I mean, I needed first aid at work when I snapped an acrylic nail.

I don't want anything that will make me scared, I'm loosing sleep as it is, haha. But if any of you can tell me your success stories, of how you had no pain at all (wishful thinking I know), that you function well sexually etc, I'd be really pleased of the help and support you could give me.

Thanks, Jessica x

Funny, I just told someone else this - I never got past a 4 on the pain scale, and that was usually for a few minutes until I got more pain medication. :) (I went to Brassard, but there's no reason to think *any* surgeon's office would be stingy with pain relief.)  After day two or three it was a 2 maximum. I don't have a very high pain threshold either, so I was also scared, but they were very good about making sure we had enough painkillers. Plus there was a woman there who only used Tylenol, and that only for a couple days!

3 years post-op I'm orgasmic, reasonable depth, and had a gynecologist swear I was born with it, so there's hope! Things are really only difficult for the first couple weeks, and then it's a case of decreasing tiredness and inconvenience.

You'll be fine!!

Thank you Jenna, you're message has really reassured me, especially with what you say about cosmetically, haha. Everyone I'm talking to seems to reassure me about the gas, and when I wake up it will all be over, so I feel a bit better about that. Plus my boyfriend said he will get a congratulations present for being a big girl, I feel a trip to Louis Vuitton may be on the cards, haha xx

I will have my surgery with Mr Philip Thomas also, so this is something I'm concerned about too. If anyone else has any experiences (good or bad) to share, I'd be very appreciative.

Thanks to the thread starter
