We really don't have much of a dress code and I've seen women wear everything from leggings and a t shirt to a business suit. Management wears more formal wear but it's not all the time.

Several years ago while I was in the military I worked at a place in California and one of the civilian women there wasn't well liked by the other women and she wore tight tops and short skirts (like several of the other women always did) so one day the manager pulls her in the office and writes her up for a dress code violation and she pointed it out that other women were wearing the same type of clothing so the manager told her to show him but when she looked around the office all the women were within standards so she couldn't show him so later she asked around to the other women and they said it was just a coincidence and they planned on wearing their closes again as the manager was wrong so she figured they would certainly wear the cloths the next day so she wore the same type of cloths in and she was alone the manager pulled her in and fired her that day.  The next day all the women were wearing the same types of clothing as she did and they continued to wear it without interference from the manager till the day I left.  I never thought it was right but I was in the military and they were civilians so I had no influence in the matter.

Seriously I'm not saying it will happen or trying to scare you but just check it to be sure... better safe then sorry.

My workplace is very casual. We are a TV station. I see all types of dress. Only people who dress really well are management (VP and above), guests and talent.

Hi kate I work in an office setting and I have been wearing women's skinny khakis along with women's Polo or long sleeve pullover. It's fairly androgynous  but I feel like the female
Cut clothes always look more femininity  than mens. Even if it's something basic like a polo. I'm not really out at work but I don't plan on wearing anything drastically different when I come out. Personally I wouldn't be able to handle it anyway. A lot of women in my office wear leggings with a cute blouse and cardigan. That would likely be a look that I would do because I like it

Definitely take your cue from the better dressed women in your office.  And perhaps the answer is more related to the image you want to project.  The old saying, "don't dress for the position you have, dress for the position you want."  So if you're aiming for management, then it sounds like dressier is the way to go.  If not, be comfortable, but be you.

I remember my first day dressing full mode at work: I wore a nice cream coloured v neck sleeveless blouse covered by a nice black blazer, straight leg dress pants with a statement necklace - of course flats. I know I'm just 5'6 but I still couldn't bring myself to wear heels at work :-)
