This morning I was hanging out in my front room, sporting some super cute jammies. When my CIS gendered roommate, whom I have not expressed my femininity to before, came into to the room. To my surprise, his reaction was quite accepting. He complimented me on my outfit, my legs, and even told me I look good as a woman. It's wonderful to have such support for once in my life, most people I've come out to jumped to the usual conclusion about transgender peoples. It's very refreshing, and validating; to know that not every person is closed minded to who we are, and what that means.

Awww Maddy, that is so exciting and I am so thrilled for you! Reminds me of when I was in a restaurant with my friend, and the waiter asked, "would you like some more water, ladies?" It was such a simple thing but it was all I could do to stop myself from crying happy tears into my pancakes.

This is so absolutely wonderful and seriously, just hearing your news made my night. Here's to many more lovely days to come for you, dear!

Thank you, acd! It's the little things that count, when he complimented my outfit, I had to do everything I could to contain myself. I love it when people compliment my outfits, I put tons of thought into them. Anyway, I'm glad my story helped make your night =)

I was worried when I came out to my best friend, because I thought she wouldn't accept me. But she did, and now uses 'he' pronouns on me. She also asked for me to clarify trans concepts so she wouldn't get it wrong. It really is nice to have people accept you.
