It took 30 days, but yesterday, Suzanne got back to me with a date, October 19th.  Finally, all that anxious wondering about the possibilities is now just a slow steady countdown.  A huge relief in my book.

Bonus: That will get me home just in time for my birthday.  Just me and my dilators...  :)

Congrats, now the preparation begins. I'd say if you have someone who can help you when you are back then don't over buy things like I did. Ended up giving things away and not using some of the stuff that I bought.

Congrats!! I'm glad they finally did get back to you.

And yeah, I over-bought too; I think I still have a couple douches stuffed in the back of the closet. :) (I don't regret it, mind you. You can NEVER have enough lube when you dilate for life, and the rest of the medical supplies - gauze, tape, disinfectant, etc. - has come in handy over the years when one of us has some other injury.)

Congrats!  I just submitted my medical form to Suzanne this morning, so it's nice to know what the current wait time is like.  Thank you for posting that.  Now I just have to wait for my therapists to fax their recommendations in.  Hopefully, Suzanne will get back to me sooner than 30 days from now.  :)

Thank you all.  Next step is blood work, which if I'd waited 3 weeks or if the date was when I'd expected it to be, I could have already had done.  C'est la vie I suppose.

I'd also really like to get most of it paid for in the next month or two.  After getting CAD$ amounts out of Suzanne (and updating that, yes, just like it says on my medical history documents, I want concurrent BA and trach shave), I need their bank information.  If I can get those funds off of my balance sheet, the better it will be for me (filing for divorce, more or less unrelated).

Congrats!  After finding out today that with the exchange rate what it is, I'd only be paying something like 16.5k USD for the srs/recoop package, I'm seriously considering Brassard.  Five month wait time?  Hm...I could swing that...

I would assume 6 months waiting time (5 months, 21 days from date offer until surgery, not that anyone is counting... ;) ).  I was quoted that wait time in January, and I almost relied on it as an assumption for how long my next lease needed to be.  Dealing with a move/fighting over a lease is not something I want to be doing the first 4 weeks of recovery!

Congrats!  I am so happy for you!
I will be there about 3 weeks before you, so I know what a good feeling getting the date is. :)
Some people say I'm apathetic, but I don't care.

Mikkayle: I received my INITIAL information packet within 2 business days.  After I submitted the required forms, then it took 30 days to hear back for scheduling as my post about mentioned.

WOW I hope this isn't the norm :-\ Im hoping to get my second letter on Friday... Did you send it all to them at once??? My first psych was a bit of a tool and he sent it out right to them even though I told him it was obviously still gonna be a while before I got my second letter and one from my OB/GYN confirming my HRT.... I still have a copy though and Im planning to just have my new psych send it all at once to them... It would suck to have to wait a month just to get a date though :-\ :(

Yes, I sent it all at once in one big email.

My first thread about it is here:  https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,186862.0.html

I can relate to psych's being... problematic.  My second took longer than originally estimated (2 weeks turned into 5) and I was afraid they were going to do the same thing: send the letter on their own.  They didn't thankfully, they were just painfully slow.

This is a pattern for me, apparently. :(
