Hello everyone,

I have been gone for about three months so that I could focus on my new job, consider my options and really reflect on who I am and what I need to do. However, I am back!

I am now moving onto the next stage on my 900000 page(s) checklist.

  • Part one was to realise I am trans and what it means, as well as get IPL on my neck done as a small preparation for later
  • Stage two is dropping 12kgs more of weight and the hair on my chest/stomach (small steps I suppose..)
I am still not on HRT or anything, I have however done sessions of IPL on my neck (5 treatments so far) and it is pretty much fully clear. Today I purchased a SensEpil XL 65,000 to begin on my chest, cheeks on my face and any little bits I spot in-between treatments. The concept behind this is to reduce the hair on my cheeks as much as I can before jumping into more professional treatments, plus I have a hairy chest (although it is super SUPER fine soft black hair) so again head start on that is my aim.

So has anyone used this product with success on their body or face etc.

I'm so sorry to burst your bubble but I've been there and am just sharing my experience. I had professional laser every 6 weeks. While it was very effective, I wanted to see if I could save money by doing it myself at home and also privacy was desired.

So I took a year off from professional laser and toyed with both the Sensepil and Tria Precision for a year. I used these devices even more than instructed.... no results. I then bought the carbon dye... no results. My anxiety worsened and face wasn't as soft or passable as it used to be.

I went back to professional laser for a touch up after a year.  Wow, I forgot how much the difference was. My skin finally felt so soft again.

The problem is: Sensepil uses up to 5 joules. Professional uses up to 60 joules. Huge difference. Hope this helps and if I were you I'd return or sell it. It might work for cis women but not for us, unfortunately as our hairs are buried deeper.

I have to agree with Urban the home laser treatment probably isn't going to get you where you want to go if you can package it back up and return it then take the money and go to a professional as the first treatment will probably remove as much if not more then the home laser treatment system... search online to all the treatment places in your area and see if they have any specials I know we have one here that is offering all the treatments you want over a year (6 weeks apart or 8 treatments) for a bikini hair removal for 650 which should be just about enough treatments to remove most if not all the hair from that area.  I'm guessing other places in your area also offer deals but just don't advertise them heavily because they want people that are interested in laser hair removal to come in so they can upsell them not just people off the street that only want the deal and are not open to the upsell so check around you might be surprised.

Loosing the extra weight is always a good idea (I'm doing the same thing) unless your one of those people that can't put weight on (not to common in this day in age) once you start HRT your body will change and will likely want to add weight (hopefully in the right areas).

Congratulations on getting back on your road to finding/becoming yourself  :)
I'll struggle hard today to live the life I want tomorrow !

Step One - Lose the weight!

Thank you both for the reply and I think the facial hair is not going to shift either. I used it on my cheeks and it sizzled about 30 hairs all up I guess. I did however use it on my chest 1 week ago and its about 70% clear already!! I just hope it will keep working and with several treatments clear it all.
