Apologies in advance if the subject has been covered before. Retirement is imminent, I am financially secure, and mature age (66).
I see Dr Bellringer, in private practice, is offering a cosmetic vaginaplasty option now, essentially externally perfect but without penile inversion, so therefore no depth for intercourse.
For me as a single mature age woman, with complete certainty that I will never want or have intercourse, this would seem an ideal option..

So. I was wondering if any girls here have chosen this option, and were they content and satisfied with their choice.. ??

Hi Jen,

I had researched having cosmetic SRS prior to my surgery.

But, my surgeon talked me into a mini penile inversion saying that it would hold the tissue in place better.   I wish I hadn't listened, the vaginoplasty resulted in a fistula.   The fistula is non-symptomatic except when dilating, so I eventually stopped dilating and have returned to what would have been the result of the cosmetic surgery.

I do miss the additional sensation of having a vagina, but am able to orgasm without it.   And that's really the question to answer:  how important is sexual activity in your life, especially penetrative sex?  For me, it didn't matter, and I'm very happy with my current condition.

Mr Bellringer was willing to do a cosmetic SRS on me in Feb 2013 as he considered my weight to be too much for his SRS procedure. My Psyche had basically asked him to do that because I wasn't getting the weight off and after 6 years of transition I was getting fairy upset by still not having had the op. I refused because I felt I would still be incomplete. Saying this I am a bit younger than you and was single at the time and wanted the option of sex available to me. What Megan Rose said is true. If you've no need for penetrative sex and consider at your age you can live happily then I'd say go for it. My partner enquired with Chett about a cosmetic SRS while I was in Bangkok having my op. She was advised to get the full op and then if she decides dilation is too much trouble she can let it heal over but she can't do it the other way around.

Good luck with your decision. I am really happy I said no to Mr Bellringer as I am so happy with what Chett gave me even if I do need a revision I wouldn't swap to a cosmetic version for all the money in the world  ;D
