I have just finished watching soldiers girl what a wonderful film.it's a tragic but true story about a soldier who falls in love with a transgender performer.and that leads to his death.this film was made with a respect and compassion for the subject.

It's tragic that people are murdered because of who they love. Did you know that Chelsea Manning is detained in the same facility as Calvin Glover?

What makes it even more sad is that this film is based on a true story. Though Calpernia now has her own Youtube channel educating people about trans people and things like that, which means that she is definitely progressing through her life.

I agree 'Soldier's Girl' is a wonderful movie, but it's tragic that Calpernia lost her soldier to a senseless hate murder.
