I was served by a transgender cashier in Primark(not the one above) who told me what a great employer they were.

I haven't had a problem like this so far but I would ignore THEM and use the ladies anyway.

I don't understand why they want to make this an issue. Hello! Changing rooms have doors! At least they do everywhere I've ever purchased clothes.

well, it just seems to me this store management didnt get the memo. plus your right ashley, they have doors so i dont see the reason they had to go that far

That's sad and certainly discrimination, I've seen it in Primark before when shopping with other trans friends.

It's true they have doors/curtains, though not everyone uses them.  I can also see a point that the women's side is where mothers take their children, just like with bathrooms.  Do the staff think trans-women are cross-dressing cis-men?

If changing rooms were isolated, like unisex bathrooms, we wouldn't have this problem. 

My local Primark is unbelievably welcoming to trans people, the staff are friendly & never bat an eyelid about you being trans. I know several trans women who shop exclusively at Primark because they feel more welcome there than any other well known store.

Unfortunately I made the mistake of reading the comments section of that newspaper & it paints a bleak picture of attitudes towards transpeople in this country.
Don't read the comments section if you are easily offended or triggered, it's just not worth it.

This just proves one store doesn't always represent a chain. I've had good experiences at my walmart, I recently heard of one where they had a bad experience. The staff has always been friendly to me some were even curious and were asking questions in a respectful manner. My experience at Ulta has been top notch. I've made some real connections with the staff. But who knows? There may be a bad Ulta out there somewhere.

That isn't a valid point at all. There are plenty of transgender women who are mothers also.  If it's a women's changing room, they must allow women in!

*I've not had issues with changing rooms, but that's because I mostly shop where they're unisex, and otherwise, assume an air of arrogance that keeps people from saying anything. XD
