What kind of exercises/training would I want to do with a Speech Therapist post-op? I hear voice training is essential for a good outcome but what would I ask the ST to work with me on?
Wynternight, as I understand it, many of the same exercises apply, and most aren't pitch related.
I haven't had voice surgery, but I've been working with Kathe Perez, and her list of things to work on is a good example:
* Respiration- power source
* Phonation- sound source
* Resonance- sound modifier
* Articulation- speech modifier
* Prosody- melodic aspects of speech
I imagine you would want to work on one or more of these depending on how far along you are.
